Mick Jones is an English musician, songwriter, guitarist and record producer best known as the founder, lead guitarist and principal songwriter of Foreigner.
Across a career spanning more than six decades, Jones has written many of classic rock’s most enduring songs, helping establish Foreigner as one of the world’s best-selling rock bands with hits including ‘I Want to Know What Love Is’, ‘Cold as Ice’ and ‘Juke Box Hero’. Before forming Foreigner in 1976, he worked as a session musician in France, played with Spooky Tooth and collaborated with artists including George Harrison and Peter Frampton.
Jones has also built a distinguished career as a producer, working with artists such as Van Halen, Billy Joel and Bad Company. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Foreigner in 2024.
