More About Post punk

Post-punk is a rock genre that emerged in the late 1970s, expanding on punk rock by incorporating experimental sounds, art rock, dub, funk, electronic music and more complex songwriting.
Among the genre's pioneering artists are Joy Division, Wire, Gang of Four, Public Image Ltd, Siouxsie and the Banshees, the Fall, Magazine and Talking Heads.
While punk rock emphasises simplicity, speed and rebellion, post-punk generally adopts a more experimental approach, incorporating diverse musical influences, atmospheric production and introspective or politically driven themes.
