The Strokes thrill Indiana: Here’s their full setlist
The Strokes have resumed their North American tour this week, which saw them stop by the Ruoff Music Centre in Noblesville, Indiana, on July 15th.
The set of dates, which kicked off in June before they took a two-week break from the road, are in support of their new album, Reality Awaits, which will arrive on July 24th.
Initially, the record was planned to arrive on June 26th, which would have been perfect timing for the tour, before it was pushed back by almost a month.
Nevertheless, due to Reality Awaits being yet to arrive, The Strokes chose not to play a bunch of unreleased music in Noblesville and only delivered lead single ‘Going Shopping‘ from the forthcoming LP on July 15th.
Instead, they chose to roll back the years, kicking things off with ‘Life Is Simple in the Moonlight’ from 2011’s Angles, before seguing into ‘Ize of the Word’ from First Impressions of Earth and Is This It’s ‘Hard To Explain’.
The Strokes didn’t leave too heavily into Is This It, but did also play ‘Take It Or Leave It’, ‘Someday’, and ‘Last Nite’ from the classic record.
Other tracks that appeared in their 20-song set included ‘Bad Decisions’, ‘Reptilla’, ‘One Way Trigger’, ‘Juicebox’, ‘Automatic Stop’, and ‘The Adults Are Talking’.
To close the show, The Strokes delivered a four-track encore consisting of ‘You Only Live Once’, ‘Heart in a Cage’, ‘Threat of Joy’, and lastly, ‘Ode to the Mets’.
Their long run across North America will close with a huge homecoming show at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in New York on October 2nd, with support coming from Beach House, TV on the Radio and Fcukers.
Then, at the end of their North American tour at Flushing Meadows, they will kick off the European leg at The O2 in London on October 6th, which will be followed by dates in Amsterdam, Düsseldorf, Berlin, Bologna, Barcelona, Paris, Newcastle, Manchester, and Dublin.
