Warren Ellis is an Australian musician, composer and multi-instrumentalist best known as a longtime member of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds and the instrumental trio Dirty Three.
Renowned for his expressive violin playing and atmospheric compositions, Ellis has become one of contemporary music’s most distinctive collaborators. Alongside Nick Cave, he has co-written acclaimed albums including ‘Push the Sky Away’, ‘Ghosteen’, ‘Carnage’ and ‘Wild God’, while also composing award-winning film scores for directors including John Hillcoat, Andrew Dominik and David Mackenzie.
Blending post-rock, folk, ambient and experimental music, Ellis has had a profound influence on both alternative music and modern film composition.
