‘Reasons to Be Beautiful’: Hole’s most underrated song
“I live my life in ruins for you…”

Hole were an American alternative rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1989 by Courtney Love and guitarist Eric Erlandson.
One of the defining bands of the 1990s alternative rock movement, Hole combined elements of grunge, punk rock and noise rock with emotionally raw songwriting and confrontational performances. The band’s breakthrough came with the critically acclaimed album Live Through This, followed by the commercially successful Celebrity Skin, which expanded their sound while retaining their intensity.
Led by Courtney Love’s uncompromising artistic vision, Hole became one of the most influential female-fronted rock bands of their era.
