A significant force.

Grace Slick is an American singer, songwriter and artist best known as the iconic vocalist of Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship and Starship. One of the defining voices of the 1960s counterculture, Slick helped shape the psychedelic rock movement through powerful performances on classics including ‘Somebody to Love’ and ‘White Rabbit’.
Her commanding vocal style, provocative stage presence and politically outspoken personality made her one of rock’s most influential female artists. Following Jefferson Airplane’s evolution into Jefferson Starship and later Starship, Slick continued to achieve commercial success with hits including ‘Jane’, ‘Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now’ and ‘We Built This City’.
After retiring from music in the late 1980s, she established a successful second career as a visual artist.
