Faith No More
Faith No More are an American rock band formed in San Francisco, California, in 1979. Renowned for their eclectic fusion of alternative metal, funk metal, rap rock, experimental rock and progressive influences, the band became one of the most innovative and influential acts of the late 1980s and 1990s.
After Mike Patton joined as lead vocalist in 1988, Faith No More achieved international success with the breakthrough album The Real Thing and the hit single ‘Epic’. Subsequent albums including Angel Dust, King for a Day… Fool for a Lifetime and Album of the Year cemented their reputation for musical experimentation and genre-defying songwriting.
Though never easily categorised, Faith No More’s adventurous approach has had a profound influence on alternative metal, nu metal and modern rock.
