‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’: Oasis share first trailer for behind-the-scenes reunion documentary

Oasis have shared the first trailer of their upcoming Disney+ documentary which followed them on their triumphant reunion.

The film, which has been given the fitting title of Don’t Look Back in Anger, is set to open in IMAX and cinemas worldwide for a limited theatrical run, which will start on September 11th.

The documentary, directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, will then start streaming exclusively on Disney+ internationally and on Hulu and Disney+ in the United States later this year. Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight has also overseen the project as a producer.

In the 46-second clip that gives fans their first taste of what’s to come, viewers find Oasis preparing to stage the mother of all comebacks with Noel conceding, “I just don’t see myself on stage with Liam, I just don’t see it.”

Meanwhile, in another part of the video, which also includes footage of Oasis in rehearsals, Liam reflects on their split in a voiceover, stating, “The way it finished… unacceptable.”

In May, when the release date for the documentary was revealed, a press release said of Don’t Look Back In Anger, “Alongside the band’s sold-out world tour, the film also explores the profound emotional impact of this phenomenal global cultural moment and what their music means to audiences and generations worldwide.”

In addition to capturing the tour, it includes footage of rehearsals, backstage and onstage access to the band, as well as the first joint interviews with Noel and Liam Gallagher in over 25 years.

Earlier this year, Noel provided an update on the film, admitting, “I’ve only seen a tiny little bit of it and it’s difficult to have an opinion on it because I’m only looking at little snippets.”

However, he did promise, “Everyone who has seen it, or seen more of it than I have, has said that it’s amazing. If it even captures five per cent of what that tour was, it’ll be astonishing. Looking forward to it.”

The timing of the first trailer of Don’t Look Back In Anger is no coincidence either, with it landing exactly a year to the day since Oasis kicked off their reunion tour at the Principality in Cardiff.

There are also murmurings that Oasis could return again in the near future, too. On July 3rd, a report from the Manchester Evening News claimed they are set to announce a new tour “within weeks”, which is said to include 12-nights at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester.
