Oasis planning 12-date homecoming residency as part of 2027 tour, new report claims
Oasis are reportedly on the brink of announcing a 12-night residency at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester next summer as part of a 2027 tour.
The legendary Manchester band notably took this year off after returning after 16-years away for Oasis Live ’25, which took them all over the world, performing to millions of fans across 41 shows.
Notably, they delivered five sold-out shows at Heaton Park in Manchester rather than the Etihad, which was under construction work that has now been completed.
This summer, the 60,000-seater stadium, which is also home to Liam and Noel Gallagher’s beloved Manchester City, has been hosting concerts by The Weeknd and Take That, as it potentially prepares to welcome Oasis next summer.
According to the Manchester Evening News, the upcoming tour, which reportedly includes 12-nights at the Etihad, is set to be “announced within weeks”. They cite “a number of sources close to the club and promoters” in the report.
An industry leader told the publication it “will be 12 nights at the Etihad Stadium across May and June”, as well as speculating “they could even add more dates to that as well, there’s talk of up to 20”.
Notably, Oasis’ 2025 tour saw them miss out on playing across mainland Europe, which has fuelled speculation they will perform on the continent in 2027. Additionally, a councillor in Rome previously claimed on local radio that negotiations were underway to bring Oasis to the Italian capital.
Earlier this week, on social media, Liam Gallagher hinted that Oasis wouldn’t be gone for too long, telling a fan that he wants England’s World Cup run to continue because “the country needs good vibrations until the mighty O comes back life is meant to be good not shit”.
Another historic venue closely associated with Oasis that they missed out on playing at in 2025 was Knebworth, which has been heavily rumoured for the band to return to in 2027. While it has not staged any huge shows since Liam Gallagher in 2022, Iron Maiden are due to play there later this month.
Last year, Lady Taylor of Stevenage claimed in the House of Lords that Oasis were due to play five shows at Knebworth in 2026, which proved to be false. She later said she was “speaking hypothetically following speculation that they would play Knebworth again” rather than from direct knowledge.
For now, the waiting game in regards to a potential Oasis tour continues. However, to keep fans happy, on July 4th, they will share the first trailer for their behind-the-scenes documentary of Oasis Live ’25, which is set to arrive in cinemas in September.
