British peer says Oasis will play five Knebworth shows in 2026
A British peer has claimed that Oasis are set to play Knebworth House five times in 2026.
Lady Taylor of Stevenage spoke in the upper house of the House of Lords on October 22nd and shared that Oasis are set to play five shows at Knebworth House next July, which is located close to Stevenage.
While speaking in the House of Lords, she said: “Next July, I have the benefit of five days of Oasis concerts in the fantastic venue of Knebworth House, which is just about a mile from my house.”
Taylor continued, “I can hear and enjoy [the gigs] from my house, and they represent the important cultural role of music venues and…make an enormous contribution to our economy.”
However, Taylor later backtracked on these claims and said that her comments were due to media speculation rather than insider knowledge.
The peer told The Guardian: “I was speaking hypothetically following speculation that they would play Knebworth again as they did in August 1996. I understand the band have not confirmed this.”
Next year will mark the 30th anniversary of Oasis’ historic pair of concerts at Knebworth in 1996, which has fuelled rumours they are set to return in 2026. Liam Gallagher previously headlined two shows at the outdoor venue in 2022.
When Noel Gallagher appeared on TalkSPORT in August, he refused to be drawn into a question about the band’s plans for 2026 and Knebworth.
The guitarist was pressed on rumours about the tour extending into 2026 amid speculation that the band could be headed back to their iconic Knebworth along with a string of other dates, however, Noel bluntly replied, “Let’s talk about football”.
However, Liam has strongly hinted that the Oasis reunion will continue beyond their final listed date in São Paulo on November 23rd. He recently told a fan on X that “it’s not even HALF TIME yet it’s a tour of 2 half’s” and said, “See you next year” to fans at Wembley Stadium in September.
