Noel Gallagher “blown away” by response to Oasis reunion and refuses to comment on Knebworth rumours
Noel Gallagher has said he is “blown away” by the response to the Oasis reunion tour, but refused to comment on speculation that the tour could be extending into 2026 at Knebworth.
The musician was speaking in a new interview on TalkSport on August 19th, in which he discussed his beloved Manchester City, but first was questioned on the reception to the stadium tour and plans for its future.
Gallagher said: “I’m completely blown away. It’s difficult to put it into words, actually. It’s kind of like every night is the crowd’s first night, do you know what I mean? So every night’s got that kind of same energy. It’s been truly amazing.”
On top of this, it seems that the guns have truly fallen silent between himself and Liam, as he even admitted that he is “proud” of his younger brother, but not without a quip that despite praise for the quality of the singer’s voice “is AI.”
Uncharacteristically for Gallagher, he admitted to having “jelly legs” and “wanting to go back to the dressing room” on the first night of the tour in Cardiff on July 4th. “I’ve done stadiums before and all that, but I don’t mind telling you, my legs turned to jelly after about halfway through the second song,” he confessed. “I could have done with going back and taking a minute, but it’s been an amazing thing.”
However, when pressed on rumours about the tour extending into 2026, amid speculation that the band could be headed back to their iconic Knebworth along with a string of other dates, Gallagher was not to be swayed. “Let’s talk about football,” he deadpanned.
The Oasis tour will next continue on August 24th at the Rogers Stadium in Toronto, Canada.
