Fat White Family are an English rock band formed in Peckham, South London, in 2011. Emerging from the capital’s underground music scene, the group quickly gained a reputation for their confrontational live performances, dark humour and eclectic blend of post-punk, garage rock, psychedelic rock and art rock.
Led by vocalist Lias Saoudi, Fat White Family established themselves as one of Britain’s most uncompromising alternative acts with their debut album, ‘Champagne Holocaust’. They broadened their sound on subsequent releases including ‘Songs for Our Mothers’, ‘Serfs Up!’ and ‘Forgiveness Is Yours’, earning widespread critical acclaim.
Combining theatrical performances with satirical lyrics and experimental musicianship, the band have become one of the defining voices of contemporary British alternative rock.
