Fat White Family announce fourth album, ‘Forgiveness Is Yours’ and share new single, ‘Bullet of Dignity’

Five years on from their last album, Serfs Up, Fat White Family are returning with their fourth record, Forgiveness Is Yours, scheduled for release on April 26th.

The notorious band, which formed over a decade ago and rose to prominence in the South London scene, recently shared their new single ‘Religion For One’ in anticipation of the album.

Now, they’ve also released the song ‘Bullet of Dignity’, which contains sonic traces of their previous record while also signalling a new step forward in their constantly evolving sound.

Fat White Family’s debut album, Champagne Holocaust, boasted a lo-fi, DIY aesthetic, perfectly fitting for their provocative lyrics and abrasive guitars. Yet, with every new release, the band have proved their musical prowess with sleeker production and a wider range of influences seeping into their sound.

Through their new tracks, Fat White Family boldly announce their brilliance, which has often been unfairly overshadowed by their wild reputation. Discussing the new record, frontman Lias Saoudi explained that it “is about life as eternal contingency…about no longer suspecting, but knowing that this shit will never get any easier.”

He added, “In fact, it’s about to get a whole lot worse, your body’s going to go into decay and the people you love will slowly start dropping dead around you…but somehow, you’ve smashed enough of your expectations thus far in life, you’re sort of fine with it…you accept it.”
