Existential Boozer: A Proustian pint with Dry Cleaning
It all comes out after a pint.

Dry Cleaning are an English post-punk band formed in South London in 2017. Comprised of vocalist Florence Shaw, guitarist Tom Dowse, bassist Lewis Maynard and drummer Nick Buxton, the band have become one of the defining acts of the post-punk revival through their minimalist sound, angular guitar work and Shaw’s distinctive spoken-word vocals.
Following the critical success of their early EPs, Dry Cleaning broke through with the acclaimed albums ‘New Long Leg’ and ‘Stumpwork’, earning praise for their witty, observational lyrics and unconventional songwriting.
Blending post-punk, indie rock and art rock influences, the band have established themselves as one of Britain’s most innovative contemporary guitar acts.
