Dry Cleaning reschedule North American tour due to “hostile economic forces that govern touring”
Dry Cleaning have rescheduled their upcoming tour of North America due to “hostile economic forces that govern touring”.
The English post-punk band had been due to tour the United States and Canada in January and February next year. However, they have now postponed the run of dates for a few months due to economic factors outside their control.
They shared the unfortunate news in a statement on December 9th, along with the release of their latest single ‘Let Me Grow’ and ‘You’ll See The Fruit’, taken from their forthcoming album due to be released next month.
Sharing the news of their rescheduled dates, Dry Cleaning said: “We have had to make the difficult decision to move our Jan/Feb ‘26 US tour to May. This is due to a number of factors, not least of which the increasingly hostile economic forces that govern touring in the present day.”
Although the decision was made with “heavy hearts”, the band added: “Thankfully we have managed to reschedule the majority of the original shows and all tickets will remain valid, if that suits you, and refunds available if it does not.”
Despite the majority of dates having been successfully moved, there are a small number that have had to be cancelled due to new routes being planned for the tour. “We will do everything in our power to play for you as soon as we can. Thank you for your patience and continued support,” Dry Cleaning concluded.
The US and Canada tour is now set to kick off on April 30th at the Thalia Hall in Chicago, Illinois, playing 18 dates across the region before wrapping up at Casbah in San Diego, California, on May 22nd.
Before then, Dry Cleaning are set to celebrate the release of their new album Secret Love with a run of dates across the UK and Europe in January and February. They will kick off the year in style on January 3rd, playing the Rockaway Beach Festival in Bognor Regis.
Their third studio album, Secret Love, is set for release on January 9th, 2026.
