More About Britpop

Britpop was a British music movement of the 1990s characterised by guitar-driven songs, British themes and a renewed focus on homegrown artists in response to the popularity of American grunge.
The most prominent Britpop bands include Oasis, Blur, Pulp, Suede, Elastica, Supergrass, Sleeper, Cast and Ocean Colour Scene.
Britpop revitalised British guitar music during the 1990s, celebrated British culture and identity, and helped launch a new generation of internationally successful bands while defining an era of UK popular culture.
