Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2025: Full list of inductees revealed with Oasis snubbed
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame have confirmed OutKast, Soundgarden and Cyndi Lauper among their inductees for the class of 2025.
The announcement was made during the April 27th broadcast of American Idol on television in the US and later confirmed on social media. The White Stripes, Bad Company, Chubby Checker, and Joe Cocker join Lauper, Soundgarden, and OutKast in the ‘Performance Category’.
Mariah Carey, The Black Crowes, Billy Idol, Joy Division/New Order, Maná, Oasis, and Phish were the other acts nominated for induction. Phish won the fan vote last week, but it wasn’t enough to ensure their inclusion in the prestigious club.

While Oasis’ reunion is the biggest music story of 2025, they won’t be bringing their reunion to Cleveland for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony this year. Liam Gallagher was previously critical of the institution following their nomination, writing on X, “RNR hall of fame is for WANKERS,” before responding to fans that he would “go and say it’s the best thing EVER” if they were to be inducted.
The other artists inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2025 are Salt N Pepa, Warren Zevon, Thom Bell, Nicky Hopkins, Carol Kaye, and Lenny Waronker.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is set to take place on November 8th, 2025, and will be live-streamed on Disney+.
Last week, Billy Idol, who was nominated but failed to make the cut to be inducted, explained to The Independent why he believes that he deserves a place, stating, “Because I’m just fucking incredible! It’s pretty amazing that I went from something like punk rock in England to mainstream success in the States.”
He added: “I was not only involved in punk, I became a big part of the ’80s new wave. And then I carried on making the music, living the rock and roll life.”
