Oasis seen at rehearsals without Liam Gallagher
Oasis have been pictured arriving at rehearsals for their upcoming reunion tour without Liam Gallagher.
The band held a six-hour rehearsal at a London studio on May 23rd. Reportedly in attendance were longtime collaborator Gem Archer, drummer Joe Waronker, Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs, and Noel. They were also joined by Mikey Rowe, who played with the band in the 1990s, as well as in Noel’s High Flying Birds.
However, Liam was not spotted at the studio. The Sun has reported that he is currently in the South of France. The paper stated, “Noel and Liam are rehearsing separately for now and won’t be going into a studio together until next month,” adding: “Once Noel has finished up, Liam will be coming in to rehearse with the band.”
The reunion tour will begin in Cardiff at the Principality Stadium on July 4th. The Gallagher brothers will later play four sold-out shows at the 80,000 capacity Heaton Park between July 11th and July 20th with Richard Ashcroft and Cast. Heaton park has issued a safety warning to concert-goers ahead of the shows.
In a recent update on the upcoming tour, Noel Gallagher appeared on TalkSPORT in April to share an insight into Oasis’ preparation. He said: “I’m in the studio just noodling around. We’re getting ready for rehearsals to start now in about three weeks, and then, yeah, we’ll see what happens.”
The band have cast doubt on their manager’s claims that they have no intention of playing any new music at their shows. Liam Gallagher took to X to respond to his comment, posting, “The only people that will be making any kind of decisions on the future of OASIS will be ME n RKID so let’s just take it 1 day at a time.”
Their upcoming tour was in such high demand that Lloyds Banking Group estimated that fake ticket scams cost fans over £2million collectively.
