Oasis announce 30th anniversary reissue of ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’ amid reunion

Oasis have announced details of a new 30th anniversary reissue of their second album, What’s The Story Morning Glory?.

The reissue is set for release on October 3rd through Big Brother Recordings, and will feature unplugged versions of five classic tracks, ‘Cast No Shadow’, ‘Morning Glory’, ‘Wonderwall’, ‘Acquiesce’ and ‘Champagne Supernova’. The unplugged version of ‘Acquiesce’ is available to listen to now.

The band’s Noel Gallagher, along with Callum Marinho, mixed and produced the five unplugged tracks from the original master recordings at Noel’s London recording studio, Lone Star Sound.

Additionally, the deluxe version of the reissue comes with new artwork courtesy of original designer Brian Cannon and new sleeve notes.

Upon release, (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? continued Oasis’ stratospheric rise to the top of the music industry, selling more than 22.5 million copies around the world, making it the third most successful British record of all time.

The announcement comes days before Oasis begin their Oasis Live ’25 world our at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on July 4th. They will also play the same venue on July 5th before heading to Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin in the UK and Ireland, before then continuing the tour overseas.

Last week, during an appearance on TalkSPORT, Noel said of their return: “We finished rehearsing last Tuesday. We’ve got a few days off now and it’s sounding huge, so we’re all, ‘well this is it, there’s no going back now.’”

On July 1st, Noel was seen arriving at Cardiff Central Station ahead of the two huge shows, and the band’s crew have already been in the Welsh capital to test out the venue’s sound throughout this week.

Doors open at 17:00 on Friday, with Cast set to take to the stage at 18:00 before Richard Ashcroft performs at 19:00, and Oasis finally make their return after 16 years away at 20:15. The curfew at the Principality is 22:15.
