As part of a very special event for charity, the surviving members of Nirvana were joined by St. Vincent, Beck and Dave Grohl’s daughter, Violet, as part of a reunion show.
The Art of Elysium event was announced at the last minute and saw a host of acts scrambled together to complete a roster of wonderful artists.
As well as Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic, and Pat Smear, the event saw acts L7, Cheap Trick and Marilyn Manson also appear at the event in L.A.
Reuniting the surviving members of Nirvana for the charity event known as the Heaven gala in honour of Actor Topher Grace and his wife Ashley was one thing. But the group had some more surprise acts to bring on, inviting Grohl’s daughter Violet, the brilliant St. Vincent, and the mercurial Beck.
The group performed Nirvana classics ‘Lithium’, ‘In Bloom’, ‘Been a Son’, ‘Heart Shaped Box’, and their timeless cover of Bowie’s ‘The Man Who Sold The World’ completing the five-song set.
