Krist Novoselic is an American musician, bassist, songwriter and political activist best known as the co-founder and bassist of Nirvana.
Alongside Kurt Cobain and Dave Grohl, Novoselic helped redefine rock music during the early 1990s through landmark albums including ‘Nevermind’ and ‘In Utero’, playing a pivotal role in bringing grunge into the mainstream. Following Nirvana’s dissolution after Cobain’s death in 1994, he pursued a diverse career with bands including Sweet 75, Eyes Adrift, Flipper and Giants in the Trees, while also becoming an outspoken advocate for electoral reform and civic engagement.
