Liam Gallagher responds to claims he’ll have a separate backstage area on Oasis reunion tour
Liam Gallagher has taken to X to respond to claims that he will be kept separate from his brother Noel backstage on their Oasis reunion tour.
The report came from The Sun, which quotes a source stating, “Each of [the brothers] had a VIP list where their friends and famous fans could buy their tickets. But depending on which brother you got your ticket off, it’s their green room and after-party you’re invited to.”
Liam flippantly dismissed the claims on X. “After party’s are for wankers,” he wrote. “I’m getting straight of after the gigs get my beauty sleep this level of sexiness doesn’t happen by staying up talking bollox to bellends.”
In the comments of the post, Liam continued with statements that suggest he is no longer interested in after-parties. “You’re just a lightweight,” one fan wrote to him; “You may well be correct,” was Liam’s reply.
“You’re a changed man LG,” another comment read, to which Liam replied, “I’m spiritual.” This is likely in reference to the backstage bust-up the brothers had in Paris in 2009 which led to the end of the britpop band.
However, the brothers seemed in good spirits at the end of April. During a TALKSport interview, Noel was quizzed whether his brother Liam is currently “behaving himself.” Noel responded, “I was with him yesterday, actually. He’s alright. He’s on tip-top form.”
The brothers were pictured arriving separately at a working man’s club in Newington Green in London on April 24th. Liam said of the meeting on X in response to a fan: “It was more a video kind of thing like a mini film and word on the street it was BIBLICAL I just get in n out I don’t hang around looking at the screen I’ll see it when you cats see it.”
The tour was in such high demand that Lloyds Banking Group estimated that fake ticket scams cost fans over £2million.
