Lana Del Rey kicks off UK tour in Cardiff: The full set list revealed
Lana Del Rey began her first UK stadium tour at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on June 23rd and delivered a set full of her greatest hits.
Del Rey’s tour is set to continue at Hampden Park in Glasgow on June 26th before heading to Liverpool for a show at Anfield Stadium on June 28th. The ‘Video Games’ singer will then conclude the run of dates with two performances at Wembley Stadium in London on July 3rd and July 4th.
The concert in Cardiff was only Del Rey’s second performance since she headlined Reading and Leeds last summer. For the Principality show, Del Rey started her set with a pair of new songs, ‘Stars Fell on Alabama’ and ‘Henry, Come On’, which previously received their live debuts at Stagecoach in April.
Her set also saw Del Rey perform two covers, leading the crowd through renditions of Tammy Wynette’s ‘Stand By Your Man’ early in their set before closing the show with a cover of John Denver’s ‘Take Me Home, Country Roads’.
Other highlights from the set include Del Rey performing ‘Ride’ in full for the first time since 2017 and delivering an a cappella version of fan favourite ‘Salvatore’. She also sang beloved hits such as ‘Born To Die’, ‘Summertime Sadness’, ‘Chemtrails Over The Country Club’ and ‘Young and Beautiful’.
Although Del Rey has released two new songs this year, ‘Bluebird’, which wasn’t played in Cardiff, and ‘Henry, Come On’, there is still no official news regarding her highly-anticipated tenth album.
Initially, this country project was announced as Lasso. Then, she confirmed the title to be The Right Person Will Stay, announcing the release date of May 21st, 2025. However, in a video on social media on April 11th, Del Rey announced that the album was no longer called The Right Person Will Stay, and the May release date would no longer be going ahead, but didn’t confirm a new date or title.
The tour continues in Glasgow on June 26th – see the full set list below from Cardiff.
