Lana Del Rey announces UK and Ireland stadium tour

Songwriter and vocalist Lana Del Rey has unveiled plans for a colossal stadium tour of the UK and Ireland in 2025. After stand-out sets at Reading and Leeds Festival earlier this year, the ‘Video Games’ singer will appear in five different cities across the British Isles next summer, in a tour which promises to be her biggest yet, at least on this side of the pond.

Beginning on June 23, 2025, Lana Del Rey will visit Cardiff’s Principality Stadium before performing in Glasgow, Liverpool, Dublin, and, finally, London. This tour marks a change from her previous appearances in the UK, both for the sheer size of the venues – which include Anfield Stadium in Liverpool and Hampden Park in Glasgow – in addition to the length of the tour.

In recent years, Del Rey’s UK and Ireland performances have been few and far between. On her extensive Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd tour, for instance, the songwriter only performed five shows in Ireland and England combined, the vast majority of which were appearances at festivals like Glastonbury or BST in Hyde Park. With her legions of dedicated fans only growing year upon year, the move to high-capacity stadium venues like Wembley seems an obvious choice for the songwriter.

This newly announced tour is set to coincide with Del Rey’s upcoming album, Lasso. Although the record has yet to be given an official release date, it is thought that it will be unveiled in or around September 2025. If that is accurate, then her tour of the UK and Ireland will likely give fans a chance to hear a selection of her new material prior to its widespread release.

Set to be her tenth studio album to date, Lasso promises to take the music of Lana Del Rey in entirely new directions. While she has never been one to limit herself to one specific style or genre, exploring countless different sounds and themes throughout her discography, the upcoming album is expected to see Del Rey adopt a country sound. Pop stars embracing country has been a common theme as of late, with Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter another prominent example.

The dates included on the newly announced tour do overlap with next year’s Glastonbury Festival, leading many fans to speculate about a potential return to Worthy Farm for the songwriter. Both Friday and Sunday night of Glastonbury are free within Del Rey’s schedule, although she would need some tight turnarounds and logistical nightmares to fit in a spot at the festival.

Many have speculated whether the singer would want to return to Glastonbury, after the festival cut her mic during a 2023 appearance. So, the only sure-fire way for fans to get a glimpse of Lana Del Rey in the UK and Ireland will be to attend this momentous run of stadium and arena shows in June and July of 2025. Tickets for all dates will go on general sale at 10am on Friday, November 29th, 2024.
