Grammys 2026: Olivia Dean among new performers announced
The Grammys have confirmed a string of new performers for this year’s event, including Olivia Dean.
Earlier this week, it was confirmed that Sabrina Carpenter would be taking to the stage at the prestigious awards ceremony on February 1st at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
Notably, Carpenter won two Grammys at last year’s event and will be looking to repeat that success this year. She is nominated in six categories, thanks to her latest album Man’s Best Friend.
As is the case with each year at the Grammys, each ‘Best New Artist’ nominee will be given stage time with the world’s eyes watching, and 2026 is no different.
It has been confirmed that Katseye, Olivia Dean, Addison Rae, the Marías, Lola Young, Sombr, Alex Warren, and Leon Thomas, who are all vying for the ‘Best New Artist’ award, will all perform.
In recent years, the ‘Best New Artist’ award has been a stepping stone for world domination, with previous winners including Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Dua Lipa, Chappell Roan, Sam Smith and Megan Thee Stallion.
The nominations are led by Kendrick Lamar with nine nods, including nominations in coveted categories such as ‘Record of the Year’, ‘Song of the Year’, and ‘Album of the Year’, thanks to his 2024 surprise release, GNX.
Meanwhile, Lady Gaga secured seven nominations relating to her album Mayhem, and Sabrina Carpenter, who won big in 2025, also landed six nominations for Man’s Best Friend.
Last week, the Grammys announced that Trevor Noah would be on hosting duties for the sixth consecutive year, which they also said would be his final time as the master of ceremonies.
Ben Winston, executive producer of the Grammys, said in a statement, “He’s been the most phenomenal host of the show. He’s so smart, so funny, and such a true fan of the artists and music. His impact on the show has been truly spectacular, and we can’t wait to do it together one last time.”
