Grammys 2026: Trevor Noah to host for sixth and final time

Comedian Trevor Noah has once again been confirmed as the host of the Grammys.

The South African comic has been in charge of the music ceremony every year since 2021, with 2026 set to mark his sixth consecutive occasion on hosting duties. However, it will also be his last time as host.

Noah hosting for the sixth consecutive year equals a record set by Andy Williams in the 1970s, who hosted the Grammys between 1971 and 1977.

Ben Winston, executive producer of the Grammys, said in a statement, “I am beyond thrilled to welcome Trevor Noah back to host the Grammys for his sixth, and sadly, final time.”

Winston continued, “He’s been the most phenomenal host of the show. He’s so smart, so funny, and such a true fan of the artists and music. His impact on the show has been truly spectacular, and we can’t wait to do it together one last time.”

During an interview with CBS Mornings in 2024, Noah opened up about the challenges that come with overseeing the most prestigious night in American music, revealing, “I don’t know what’s going to happen. So that’s what I love about the Grammys is it’s live; it’s happening; it’s on the fly.”

The Grammys are set to take place on February 1st, 2026, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

The nominations are led by Kendrick Lamar with nine nods, including nominations in coveted categories such as ‘Record of the Year’, ‘Song of the Year’, and ‘Album of the Year’, thanks to his 2024 surprise release, GNX.

Meanwhile, Lady Gaga secured seven nominations relating to her album Mayhem, and Sabrina Carpenter, who won big in 2025, also landed six nominations for Man’s Best Friend.

Additionally, it was recently confirmed that Cher, Paul Simon, Carlos Santana, Chaka Khan, Whitney Houston and Fela Kuti would have their careers honoured with a ‘Lifetime Achievement’ Grammy at a separate ceremony held at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles on January 31st.
