Foo Fighters to make their live return at Singapore Grand Prix
Foo Fighters will make their return to the stage this October to headline an event at the F1’s Singapore Grand Prix.
On May 14th, the Grand Prix announced its second wave of performers, with Foo Fighters set to headline the second day of three.
This comes after the band cancelled their plans for a 2025 tour, according to the founder and director of the French rock festival Hellfest. Last December, the festival boss said Muse were brought in as a replacement for Foo Fighters at the event for their 2025 edition.
Dave Grohl attracted widespread attention in September when he revealed that he had a child outside of marriage. After the news broke, Foo Fighters subsequently cancelled their Soundside Music Festival headline slot, with no further scheduled dates in the calendar. This will be his first appearance with the band since the controversy, and it is their only performance date for 2025 so far.
However, he has since surprised fans with Nirvana concerts at the FireAid benefit concert and SNL50. Last month, he made a surprise Coachella appearance alongside Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic to perform ‘The Sky is a Neighborhood’ and ‘Everlong’.
The Grand Prix will also see Elton John perform, despite the fact that he retired from touring in 2023. He will close out the Grand Prix on the Sunday.
Other new additions to the Singapore Grand Prix include The Smashing Pumpkins, Alan Walker, Crowded House, Babymetal, Tom Grennan and more.
Foo Fighters’ performance will take place on October 4th, 2025, on the eve of the F1 race in Singapore. Additionally, South Korean rapper G-Dragon will deliver a set during the week of the Singapore Grand Prix, taking to the stage on October 3rd.
