Watch Bob Dylan perform ‘The Times They Are A-Changin’ for the first time in 15 years
During the latest stop of his Outlaw Music Festival in Franklin, Bob Dylan performed ‘The Times They Are A-Changin’ for the first time since 2010.
Before the performance at the FirstBank Ampitheater in Franklin, Tennessee, on June 25th, Dylan last performed the classic track, which appeared on his 1964 album of the same name, during an event at the White House in 2010, celebrating the music from the civil rights movement.
In typical Dylan style, he delivered ‘The Times They Are A-Changin’ in an unfamiliar arrangement, but one that suits his voice as an 83-year-old, which delighted the crowd in Franklin.
Dylan’s set also included beloved efforts such as ‘Gotta Serve Somebody’, which served as his opener, ‘All Along The Watchtower’, ‘Desolation Row’, and ‘Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright’.
The 35-date adventure with Willie Nelson began on May 13th, 2025, in Phoenix and will end on September 19th, 2025, in East Troy, Wisconsin. Outlaw Music Festival is now in its tenth year, and the bill this year, also features special guests such as Billy Strings, Sheryl Crow, Wilco, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, the Avett Brothers, Lake Street Dive, Waxahatchee, and Lucinda Williams.
There have been plentiful stand-out moments from the run so far, including Dylan performing ‘All Along The Watchtower’ with Billy Strings and covering The Pogues’ ‘Rainy Night In Soho’.
Outlaw Music Festival is set to continue at the Radians Ampitheatre in Memphis on June 27th with Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats, Trampled by Turtles and Tami Neilson performing alongside Nelson and Dylan.
Meanwhile, Dylan recently lent his voice to the announcement video of Machine Gun Kelly’s new album, Lost Americana, set for release on August 8th. In the trailer for the upcoming record, Dylan says: “Lost Americana is a personal excavation of the American dream; a journey to find what’s been lost. This album is a love letter to those who seek to rediscover — the dreamers, the drifters, the defiant.”
