Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson announce new Outlaw Music Festival tour dates
Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson have announced they will be teaming up once again for the upcoming Outlaw Music Festival tour.
Beginning on May 13th, 2025, in Phoenix, they will embark on a 35-date tour that ends on September 19th, 2025, in East Troy, Wisconsin. The support acts for the tour will regularly change, but they have announced that Sheryl Crow, Wilco, Billy Strings, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, the Avett Brothers, Lake Street Dive, Waxahatchee, Lucinda Williams, Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers will be some of the artists who will be performing.
In a statement via Rolling Stone, Nelson said of the upcoming dates: “What an amazing lineup to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Outlaw Music Festival Tour.” He continued, “I can’t wait to join friends and family in bringing this celebration to the fans we love”.
While the shows are designed to celebrate a decade in existence for the Outlaw Music Festival, its first official run actually began in 2016, making 2025 its ninth year.
The festival began as a one-off show in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and has since developed into an annual tour. In the past decade, it has featured artists such as Bonnie Raitt, Brandi Carlile, Chris Stapleton, Eric Church, John Fogerty, John Mellencamp, Luke Combs, Neil Young, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, and Zach Bryan.
Similarly, in 2024, Dylan and Nelson were the only artists who signed to appear at every show. However, due to health problems, 91-year-old Nelson was forced to miss several shows on the tour and was replaced by his son Lukas Nelson, who played some of his father’s most recognisable hits.
In November 2024, Nelson released his latest studio album, Last Leaf On The Tree, marking his second full-length release of 2024, following The Border, while for Dylan, the Outlaw Music Festival will be combined with his ongoing Rough and Rowdy Ways Tour, which has US shows in March and April.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on February 7th, however, fans can also sign up for a Citi presale from February 4th.
