Willie Nelson announces new album ‘Dream Chaser’ and tour dates
At the incredible age of 93, Willie Nelson has announced his next album, Dream Chaser, as well as a limited run of spring tour dates.
Dream Chaser will become his 79th solo studio album, as well as his 156th project. It will consist of ten songs in total.
Once again, Nelson has paired up with producer and co-writer Buddy Cannon, a fruitful collaboration that has resulted in almost 20 albums in 13 years.
The album is set to include a song co-written with Bob Dylan, titled ‘I Can’t Read Your Mind’, before Cannon took over and brought the single to completion. For now, Nelson has given fans a taster of what is to come with the title track, ‘Dream Chaser’.
The pair of musical legends have toured together for many years as part of the elongated Outlaw Music Festival Tour, which last ran across the summer of 2025.
Alongside news of the album, as well as the reflective new single, the beloved musician has announced a small run of 2026 tour dates. Beginning in Birmingham, Alabama, on April 22nd, he will also stop in Atlanta, Asheville, Cary, and Wilmington, before finishing things off on May 2nd in New Braunfels.
Nelson is also set to throw his annual Luck Reunion SXSW-week event in Texas on March 19th, which will feature the likes of St. Vincent, Booker T. Jones, Robert Lester Folsom, Trampled by Turtles, and more.
Nelson will release Dream Chaser on May 29th.
