Wet Leg and The Dare team up on remix of ‘Mangetout’

Wet Leg‘s ‘Mangetout’ has enjoyed a euphoric reimagination from New York-based artist The Dare, who has stepped in to remix the song.

The remix came out of an encounter the musicians had last October, while they DJ-ed together at an afterparty in Austin, Texas.

Rhian Teasedale’s vocals open the track with “Get lost forever,” but the thrashing guitars have been replaced with a boinky new melodic line, with all the electroclash leanings of The Dare’s biggest influences, rendering the love song in a playful, retro-futuristic aesthetic.

The new track drips in The Dare’s signature dance-punk style. The creation has enjoyed an increased bout of popularity after featuring in episode two of Heated Rivalry, a queer HBO sports-romance series that has taken the internet by storm.

Aside from the thumping new track, the band has recently been nominated for ‘Group Of The Year’ and ‘Alternative / Rock Act’ at the Brit Awards this year, set to take place in Manchester on February 28th.

Wet Leg are currently touring in Australia and Japan before they head back to the US for Coachella in April. Following this, their biggest headline UK dates so far will include a July show at London’s Alexandra Palace Park.

As for confirmed festivals, Wet Leg will be making an appearance at The Governors Ball, Bonnaroo, Rock En Seine, All Things Go Toronto, OpenAir St. Gallen Festival and Hinterland Festival, as well as performing with Alanis Morissette at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow.

Wet Leg’s 2025 release, Moisturizer, earned the coveted Far Out Album of the Week; our four-star review observed, “There’s a slight restlessness that feels like Wet Leg are constantly moving, or shifting, but not so much that they forget to acknowledge or linger on all the things that make us human. In this instance, there’s no rush to cover it all, but to gaze out like you’re catching all of life’s ambiguities through a train window.”
