Brit Awards 2026: The full list of nominations revealed
The Brit Awards have unveiled the full list of nominations for this year’s event.
For the first time in the history of the Brit Awards, it will be held outside of London in 2026 and is set to take place at the Co-op Live in Manchester on February 28th.
The nominations are led by Olivia Dean and Lola Young, with the two homegrown stars picking up five nods each. Additionally, it has been confirmed that Dean will perform at the ceremony in Manchester next month.
Trailing closely behind is Sam Fender, who has secured four nominations; his third record, People Watching, which won the Mercury Prize in October, is shortlisted for ‘Album of the Year’. He is also up for ‘Artist of the Year’, ‘Best Rock/Alternative Act’, and ‘Song of the Year’ for his Olivia Dean collaboration, ‘Rein Me In’.
Notably, Pulp have been nominated for ‘Group of the Year’ thanks to their return in 2025 with More, which is the first time they have been recognised by the Brit Awards in 30 years.
Meanwhile, Geese will compete against Haim, Tame Impala, Turnstile and Huntr/X in the hotly contested ‘International Group of the Year’ category.
Jacob Alon has already been named as the ‘Critics Choice’ winner for 2026, beating competition from Rose Gray and Sienna Spiro.
The Scottish singer-songwriter follows in the footsteps of previous winners Dua Lipa, Florence and the Machine, The Last Dinner Party, Sam Smith, Jorja Smith, and Michael Kiwanuka.
In a statement, Alon said, “I really care about and believe in this music, and it makes my world brighter every time it reaches someone else. Hopefully this means some more beautiful people might find something in my album. Thank you to anyone who has ever listened.”
