Watch The Strokes go all karaoke on their cover of Erasure's 'A Little Respect'

Following the news of The Strokes providing their first new tunes at their recent live show, we owe you an apology. We missed the incredible cover of Erasure’s karaoke hit ‘A Little Respect’.

Julian Casablancas and Co. were at The Wiltern in Los Angeles as part of a charity event and used the time on stage to give the fans a taste of, what one would assume, will be the upcoming new album with the song ‘The Adults Are Talking’. However, they also gave the fans another little treat by covering the 80s classic from Erasure.

Before playing the scream-singing gem they teased the crowd with Prince’s ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ before giving fans a drone-filled, stripped back cover of ‘A Little Respect’.

Sure, the band got a little side-tracked midway through and sure this cover isn’t likely to match Sinead O’Connor’s cover of ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ for example, but it still showed one key thing to all fans of The Strokes: they’re having fun with it.
