The Strokes last night shared some details on their new record, The New Abnormal, saying the album will land on April 10th. Now, the band have shared the first song from the LP, ‘At The Door’.
The band were performing at Bernie Sanders’ rally last night when Casablancas let slip the release date of the new album.
The group have taken to Twitter today to not only confirm that revelation but also share the first new song from the album, ‘At The Door’. It’s the freshest we’ve heard The Strokes in years.
The new song shows off the band’s evolution and perhaps the influence of Mac DeMarco who has been working with Julian Casablancas of late.
Yes, it’s true. We have a new record called The New Abnormal and it will be available April 10.

The lo-fi sound is punctuated by vocoder vocals and heavy synths to add the 80s edge. It makes for a truly engaging track and is a dead cert’ for afterparty bliss.
It’s a sound replicated in the epic new video which sees all your favourite animated gems from the ’80s merge into one 5 minute plus adventure. With a soundtrack provided by your favourite New Yorkers.
