Last night saw The Strokes perform at Bernie Sanders rally with a rendition of ‘New York City Cops’ surrounded by police officers. The band also announced some full album details for 2020.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock you may well know that the Democratic leadership race has been underway for some time now, with many artists flocking to hopeful Bernie Sanders.
One such group is The Strokes who have been actively championing Vermont senator Sanders for months.
Yesterday, they put their money where the mouth is with an eleven song set on the eve of the New Hampshire presidential primary.

The set began with a late addition, as the group took on Talking Heads’ ‘Burning Down The House’, and got more exciting with the debut of new song ‘Bad Decisions’.
The track is set to land as part of The Strokes’ new record, The New Abnormal which during the show Casablancas confirmed would land on April 10th
The band then shared another taster of the new album as they played the video for ‘At the Door’ before closing out the evening’s proceedings with a classic rendition of ‘New York City Cops’ being played out as Casablancas si swarmed by uniformed police trying to maintain some order.
