Queens of the Stone age are an American rock band formed in Seattle in 1996, the band was founded by vocalist and guitarist Josh Homme, who has been the only consistent band member throughout multiple member changes.
The band currently consists of Troy Van Leeuwen on guitar, keyboards, backing vocals, Michael Shuman with bass, keyboards and backing vocals, Dean Fertita on keyboards, guitar and backing vocals, and Jon Theodore on drums and percussion alongside Homme with vocals and guitar. This has been the band set up since 2013.
Their music incorporates stoner rock, heavy rock and hard rock with heavy riffs and emphasis on Homme’s iconic vocals.
