Nile Rodgers is an American musician, songwriter, guitarist, producer and composer whose work has shaped popular music for more than five decades. Best known as the co-founder of Chic, Rodgers pioneered the sound of disco and funk through his distinctive rhythm guitar playing and sophisticated songwriting.
Beyond his success with Chic, he has produced and collaborated with artists including David Bowie, Madonna, Diana Ross, Duran Duran, Daft Punk and Sister Sledge, contributing to some of the most commercially successful and influential recordings in modern music. Rodgers has won multiple Grammy Awards and has been inducted into both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame. He remains one of the most respected producers and musicians in the recording industry.
