Seth Rogen was once invited on a hot air balloon with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs: “I’m glad I didn’t do this”
Seth Rogen has revealed that Diddy once bizarrely invited him and his wife on a hot air balloon ride.
The inexplicable offer came many years before Diddy, real name Sean Combs, was sentenced to 50 months in prison after being found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution in a trial last year.
Rogen made the confession while engaging in EW’s Lie vs Lie segment with his The Invite co-star Olivia Wilde, which sees two famous faces shock each other by telling tales that can either be true or false.
When asked by Wilde about “the most surprising proposition” that he’s ever received, Rogen shared, “I’m glad I didn’t this, many years ago, me and my wife were at the French Laundry, one of the fanciest restaurants in the world, and at the table beside us was Puff Daddy.”
While Diddy wasn’t somebody that Rogen knew on a personal level, that didn’t stop the now-disgraced music mogul making a proposal that people would usually reserve for their closest friends.
The Canadian recalled, “And Puff Daddy came over to me and my wife, and he said, ‘What are you guys doing tomorrow morning?’, and we said we were here scouting wedding locations, we weren’t yet married at the time, and he said, ‘Well, if you have time, would you like to come hot air ballooning with me?'”
Thankfully, Rogen had other plans, adding with a sense of relief, “And I said, ‘No’, which I’m very glad about because the last thing I need in the world is a photo of me on a hot air balloon with Puff Daddy waving and smiling with glasses of rosé.”
He also confirmed that the tale was “100 per cent true” and not made up for the sake of the game they were playing.
There’ll be no hot air balloons for Diddy anytime soon as he remains locked up at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey.
Last month, the Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed that Combs is now set to be released on February 23rd, 2028, after initially being due to stay inside until June 4th, 2028.
