Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs trial: Former assistant claims she was kidnapped
Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs’ former assistant, Capricorn Clark, has alleged the rapper kidnapped her on her first day working at Bad Boy Records. Clark took the stand on May 27th as part of Combs’ sex trafficking and racketeering trial.
Clark claims she started working at Bad Boy in 2004 and was an employee of Combs until 2020; she also served as Cassie’s creative director until 2018.
During her testimony, Clark alleged she was kidnapped and taken to Central Park, where Combs confronted her about working for Death Row Records. She told the court, “[Combs] told me he didn’t know I had anything to do with Suge Knight, and if anything happened, he’d have to kill me.”
On another occasion, she claimed Combs accused her of stealing three pieces of diamond jewellery he was renting from Jacob the Jeweller.
Clark alleged she was taken to Bad Boy’s unfinished office in Times Square and received threats about being thrown in the nearby river. Before being made to take a lie detector test, she claimed a large man told her, “If you fail this test, they’re going to throw you in the East River.”
She claimed she was kept there for five days without anyone knowing her whereabouts, alleging she was “trying to survive it” while working under an NDA. She said Combs never discussed the matter with her, and that she continued to work for Combs because if she left, they’d assume she stole the jewellery.
While working for Combs, Clark claimed she only slept four hours a day and had a stress condition. While being paid $55,000 per year, she requested to be paid overtime, to which she alleged Combs ripped up the paper.
Clark claimed that part of her job was to set up hotel rooms for Combs, which required drugs, baby oil, and IV drips to help him and Cassie recover from drug use.
Combs is charged with five counts of sex trafficking, racketeering, and sexual abuse. He has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges.
The trial remains ongoing.
