Rush reportedly in talks over Las Vegas residency at The Sphere
Rush are in talks to perform a residency at The Sphere in Las Vegas, according to a new report.
Last month, Rush kicked off their 50 Something Tour with four shows at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, and have since visited Mexico City, Fort Worth, and Chicago, performing for multiple nights in each city.
The tour, which is their first in 11 years and features Anika Nilles on drums replacing the late Neil Peart, is set to stay on the road in North America until December.
They will then keep the good times rolling throughout 2027 as they take the Rush tour international, with visits lined up to Argentina, Brazil, Germany, the Netherlands, the UK, Poland, Italy, Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland.
Now, it is being speculated that Rush could become the latest band to perform at The Sphere in Las Vegas, which would be another extension of their comeback tour.
A source reportedly told The Sun, “Talks have been secretly going for now for a while, but the word is that contracts could be locked down in the next couple of weeks.”
It was also stated by the source that The Sphere are looking to secure “a moving roster of acts who can come in and out for the next five years”.
Eagles have become a mainstay of The Sphere’s schedule since they first played at the state-of-the-art venue in September 2024, with their residency being extended on multiple occasions since it began.
The ‘Hotel California’ group most recently added more dates in May, which will take them through until November in Sin City, and in total, they will have played 64 shows at The Sphere once their plans are fulfilled.
So far, this year has also seen No Doubt reunite to perform at The Sphere, and Metallica will begin their residency in Vegas later this year, which will see the metal icons play 24 shows from late 2026 into 2027.
