Police launch investigation after hundreds allegedly sneak into Oasis shows at Wembley

The Metropolitan Police have launched an investigation following claims that fans sneaked into the recent Oasis concerts at Wembley Stadium.

Last week, Oasis wrapped up a five-show residency at the iconic stadium. They are currently in the middle of a three-date run in Edinburgh ahead of concerts in Dublin before heading to North America and returning to Wembley for another two shows in September.

The concerts at Wembley were triumphant, but The Sun has since claimed that up to 200 people were asked to pay £350 each to sneak into one of the shows through a disabled entrance.

One person, who paid the £350, said they were part of a large group who used a photocopy of the same ticket at a specific entrance, and claimed two women orchestrated the scheme. The concertgoer said, “We were given our tickets, which were all the same, and a woman drew a shape on our hands. We were told to go to the disabled door at entrance M, even though our tickets said entrance F.”

They continued: “We showed our stamped hands to the person on the door, they scanned the tickets, even though we all had the same one, and let us in. Another member of staff then handed us a golden circle wristband and that was it. There were zero security searches. We just walked straight in.”

Now, the venue has responded to the claims, stating: “Entering Wembley Stadium without a ticket is a serious offence and we are investigating these allegations. If they are substantiated, we will refer our evidence to the police.”

At their recent show in Edinburgh, Liam Gallagher hit back at the Edinburgh City Council for expressing their fears for those attending the Fringe due to “rowdy” and “intoxicated” Oasis fans.

Speaking at Murrayfield Stadium, Liam said: “What about Edinburgh council, the fucking slags. The amount of money we’re going to bring in, they’ll split with their posh, ugly mates.” He added, “Still waiting for a fucking apology…”
