Paramore release four new songs to celebrate ‘All We Know is Falling’ 20th anniversary

Paramore have released four more tracks on streaming platforms as part of their deluxe edition of All We Know Is Falling, which celebrates its 20th anniversary.

Their debut album, All We Know Is Falling, was first released on July 26th, 2005. It represented their breakout moment into the scene, with fan-favourites such as ‘Pressure’ and ‘Emergency’ and the softer ‘Never Let This Go’, which rising pop star Pinkpantheress would later sample in her hit song ‘Where You Are’.

In celebration of its 20th anniversary, four additional tracks appeared on streaming platforms on July 25th. Following the original album closer, ‘My Heart’, the remix ‘Emergency – Crab Mix’, was added. This includes more screamo-style vocals from Josh Farro, brother of drummer Zac Farro, who left the band in 2010.

The deluxe album also includes two new tracks, ‘O Star’ and ‘This Circle’. The first cut is a slower offering that details the band’s resilience at the start of their journey in a complex industry. The second is a lamentation of being stuck in the same place, but pretending to yourself that things have moved on. Both tracks have appeared before on their 2006 EP The Summer Tic, which was only sold at Warped Tour that year.

The last of the new tracks is a cover of the Failure song, ‘Stuck On You’. Hayley Williams has previously noted that Failure “is one of the top 3 reasons why Paramore even exists.” Guitarist Taylor Hork added that they’ve “been one of the most influential bands on my guitar playing.”

This is not the only new music the band has to offer. After two solo albums, Williams returned with a surprise song that debuted on Nashville radio on July 23rd. The song, ‘Mertazapine,’ is just over three minutes long and shows the star following 1990s shoegaze influences, with bending frenetic guitars and her infamous belting vocals rounding out a charged bridge.
