Oasis want contributions from fans for upcoming film

Oasis are asking fans to contribute to their upcoming documentary that is set to explore their reunion tour.

While the specific details of the project remain under wraps, the iconic group confirmed in March that Peaky Blinders creator Stephen Knight is set to produce a new film in conjunction with the upcoming tour.

Meanwhile, Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, who have previously directed LCD Soundsystem’s Shut Up and Play the Hits and Meet the Bathroom, will be on directorial duties for the untitled Oasis film.

Magna Studios, the studio behind the project, has now asked fans to share their favourite Oasis song and explain why it means so much. They wrote: “We are asking people all over the world if there is a particular Oasis song that has deep meaning for you. A song that tells the story of a life changing moment, a love, a loss, a heartbreak, or a break for freedom.”

Their statement continued by referencing one of Oasis’ most beloved tracks: “Whatever the Oasis song, whatever the story – tell us…”

When the film was initially announced in March, Magna Studios shared an image of the Gallagher brothers on Instagram and confirmed their involvement, writing, “We’re excited to share with the world that magna studios is producing the official Oasis film following the announcement of their 2025 reunion tour.”

It’s less than a month until Oasis take to the stage for the first time in 16 years at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on July 4th. Following Cardiff, they will play multiple sold-out shows at Wembley Stadium, Heaton Park, and Murrayfield Stadium before they tour overseas for more stadium shows later this year, visiting everywhere from Argentina to Australia.

Liam Gallagher recently joined the rest of the band in rehearsals in London as they prepare to embark on their record-breaking tour. Updating fans on X, Gallagher said, “We have LIFT OFF Rastas sounded fucking FILTHY I’ll tell thee that there for hardly anything LG x”.
