Oasis reveal stage times for Wembley Stadium concerts
It has been 16 years since Oasis last played Wembley Stadium, but this week, that will change, and now, the Gallagher brothers have released their set times for their triumphant return.
In 2009, Noel and Liam played Wembley Stadium on July 9th, 11th and 12th. Kasabian, The Enemy and Reverend and The Makers supported them. Soon after, the brothers infamously split after a fight backstage in Paris at Rock En Seine.
The Britpop icons originally announced they would return to the iconic arena for five nights. Eventually, two more Wembley dates were added, following backlash against dynamic pricing used in the original Ticketmaster sales.
Similar to their shows in Cardiff and Heaton Park, Cast will get the performances underway at 18:00. However, doors will be open two hours later than they were in Heaton Park from 17:00, giving fans an hour to filter in before performances kick off.
Richard Ashcroft will then take the stage at 19:00, before passing the baton over to Oasis who are set to perform at 20:15. They have specified that the show will end exactly two hours later, at 22:15. Though not specified in their announcement, the curfew for Wembley is 22:30, which was the same for their Cardiff and Manchester shows.
Oasis have also launched an account that will post all important updates on the Wembley shows on social media. The WembleyLive25 was announced via a post from the band that simply read, “Attending the shows in London? Follow the official information account.” The account is “The official help page operating during the Wembley Oasis shows.”
Unlike their homecoming shows at Heaton Park in Manchester, where thousands of ticketless fans congregated on what is now known as “Gallagher Hill” to hear their set for free, those without tickets will not be permitted to listen outside the venue.
“To support with the safe entry and exit of everyone within the stadium, no one is allowed to stand outside any entrance or on the Olympic Steps at the front of the stadium. Non-ticket holders will be moved on,” a statement on their page reads.
The Oasis reunion tour will complete a seven-date residency in London, which will see them perform for a total of 630,000 people. They will play on July 25th, July 26th, July 30th, August 2nd, and August 3rd. Once they return from North America, Oasis will play two further shows at Wembley Stadium in late September.
