Oasis announce behind-the-scenes photography book, ‘Oasis Live ’25 Opus’
Oasis have announced the new photography book, Oasis Live ’25 Opus, which captures their Oasis ‘Live 25 world tour.
The tour began in Cardiff in July, taking them everywhere from back home in Manchester to Wembley Stadium to South Korea, as well as visits to Australia, the United States, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, before wrapping up in Brazil in November.
Throughout the tour, photographer Simon Emmett, who took the now-famous image of Liam and Noel Gallagher back together for the first time in 15 years in 2024, was beside the band and the result is now Oasis Live ’25 Opus.
The book promises to feature 1000 unseen photographs with Emmett receiving “unprecedented access” to the band, according to press materials.
In a statement, Emmett spoke about how the initial photograph, used to promote the reunion tour, was the spark for the project, sharing, “When I saw the reaction to the photo, it was obvious to me that this wasn’t a single event. The photograph was the beginning of something. I felt strongly that this needed to be documented.”
Emmett continued, “There was no facade, this was genuine. We watched the crowd having the time of their lives, but the band and the crew are also having equally as good a time. That’s what was so magical about it. Opus is a really appropriate home for something like Oasis Live ‘25. They’re a unique publisher, and it was a unique tour. I just hope that in some small way that it has captured the essence of joy of it.”
The Live Forever Edition, a 336-page hardback, will be available to buy from May 2026. Meanwhile, there will also be special editions of the photography book, including the Wonderwall Edition, which is bound in buckram and features an inlaid circular photograph of the Gallagher brothers, and comes in a clamshell case with a commemorative acrylic ticket.
Additionally, there is the Glory Edition, limited to 3,000 copies, which is bound in the finest leather, includes gatefold pages, a ten-inch removable vinyl record including a voice note from Emmett, a commemorative ticket, an unseen lithographic photographic print signed by Emmett, and comes in a choice of Contact Sheet or Reunion clamshell case.
Then, there’s the Supernova Edition, limited to 100 copies, which is housed in a bespoke flight case-inspired presentation case with acrylic cover, features a 12-inch removable vinyl record including a voice note from Emmett, a commemorative ticket, and two unseen silver gelatin photographic prints signed by Emmett.
The 001 copy of the Supernova Edition is set to be auctioned off in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust, who will receive 100 per cent of the proceeds from the sale, at the Legends Ball at Grosvenor House in November.
In addition to Oasis Live ’25 Opus, there is also a documentary on the way that captured the epic reunion tour.
In a recent interview with Project Big Screen, Steven Knight, who is producing the film, lifted the lid on where they currently are in the process, sharing, “It’s phenomenal. We’ve got it down to four hours, so we’ve gotta get it down to (a shorter running time).”
The Peaky Blinders creator also confirmed that there is a clear narrative that runs through the film, adding, “But it’s a documentary with a plot, do you know what I mean? It’s actually got a story. And then we’ve expanded it. You’ll see when you see it.”
