Oasis announce Australia dates for 2025 reunion tour
Oasis have announced the Australian leg of their reunion tour for 2025, comprising of only two dates in the country.
The latest announcement comes after the Mancunian band recently revealed plans to tour North America. The band shared plans shows for Toronto, Chicago, East Rutherford, Los Angeles, and Mexico City, but due to exceptional demand, Oasis will now play two nights in each of these cities, except Chicago.
While they were never playing stadiums during their peak in North America, absence has made the heart grow fonder, and Oasis had no issues with selling-out the tour almost instantly. They will be supported on the jaunt by Cage The Elephant.
Following the conclusion of their UK and Ireland tour dates for 2025, Oasis will then head to America to complete their run of North American shows. The band will subsequently return to London for two more concerts at Wembley Stadium before visiting Australia in October.
The tour will start at the Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on October 31st, and conclude at the Accor Stadium in Sydney on November 1st. At this stage, these are Oasis’ only concerts scheduled for Australia, but they have previously added further dates due to phenomenal demand, therefore, the possibility of more shows being announced can’t be ruled out.
In a statement, Oasis said of their forthcoming Australian tour: “People of the land down under. ‘You better run – you better take cover..‘ We are coming. You are most welcome.”
Oasis last visited Australia in 2006 during the band’s Don’t Believe The Truth tour, in promotion of their album of the same name. In Melbourne, they played two shows at the Festival Hall and they also performed a pair of concerts at the Hordern Pavillion in Sydney.
Tickets go on sale for the Melbourne date at 10am AEDT on October 15th, and the Sydney tickets will be available to purchase from 12pm AEDT on the same day.
Who is supporting Oasis in Australia?
At this stage, no support acts have been announced for the Austalian leg of the tour, and the only act confirmed to share a bill with Oasis is Cage The Elephant, who will open up for the band across North America.
Furthermore, no acts have been officially announced to support Oasis during their UK and Ireland shows for 2025. However, Liam Gallagher took to X on October 4th to claim Richard Ashcroft and Cast would be appearing with Oasis on the highly-anticipated tour, which is still yet to be officially revealed.
Gallagher shared: “Just spoke to the CHEF here it is OASIS RICHARD ASHCROFT CAST you are welcome see you nxt year I’m of to to identify as a massive cunt LG x”. He also wrote, “Cast the 1 n only Richard ashcoft and us shit cunts that’s worth 98 grands worth of any bumblebees not so hard earned cash”.
