Noel Gallagher’s daughter, Anaïs, reportedly orchestrated the Oasis reunion
Anaïs Gallagher, the daughter of Noel Gallagher and his first wife Meg Matthews, reportedly decided to help the band reconcile.
A source told The Sun: “Anaïs was one of the biggest sources of comfort and support for Noel following his divorce. Over the years, Noel had offered an olive branch to Liam, but he’d never taken it up.”
Anaïs allegedly decided to lend a helping hand after Noel’s second marriage, with Sara MacDonald, ended. The secret source expanded, “Anaïs could tell her dad really wanted both his brothers, Liam and Paul, by his side after the split so was determined to get them back in touch.”
The statement then expanded on Noel’s daughter’s role in the family. They said, “She gets on great with Liam’s sons Gene and Lennon, so she asked them if their dad would be willing to hear her out. They said they thought he would be receptive, so she then asked Liam to reach out to his brother to lend support.”
Oasis split in 2009 after a backstage bust-up in Paris. After that, Noel refused to go on stage with his brother and soon quit the Britpop band. Following the outburst, Noel released a snappy statement that explained his departure: “It’s with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer. He’s like a man with a fork in a world of soup.”
This intel comes after Oasis were pictured arriving at rehearsals for their upcoming reunion tour without Liam Gallagher. However, this is reportedly due to Liam being on holiday in the south of France; he should soon return to throw himself into rehearsals.
Oasis will kick off their reunion tour at the Principality Stadium on July 4th, ahead of dates in Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin later this summer. The tour was in such high demand that Lloyds Banking Group estimated that fake ticket scams cost fans over £2million collectively.
