My Chemical Romance announce two huge shows at Wembley Stadium
My Chemical Romance have announced that they are set to perform two shows at Wembley Stadium in London next summer.
The iconic emo band are bringing their Long Live: The Black Parade tour to the UK. The hugely successful run of dates is currently visiting stadiums across the United States, and the shows so far have been noted for their theatrical production value.
Subsequently, the band are bringing the show across the Atlantic for two dates at Wembley Stadium, which are set to take place on July 10th and 11th, 2026.
It is currently not known whether they will extend the tour into other venues across the UK, since their last performance in the country at the Stadium MK in Milton Keynes for three nights in 2022.
The tour marks the 20th anniversary of the release of My Chemical Romance’s seminal third album, The Black Parade, which gave the band their first taste of major commercial success with its prolific singles such as ‘Welcome to the Black Parade’ and ‘Teenagers’.
The iconic record, celebrating its two-decade mark since it was released on October 24th, 2006, became a hailed masterpiece of a concept album which follows the struggles of its main character The Patient, who is a man dying of cancer.
As its lead single, ‘Welcome to the Black Parade’ scored My Chemical Romance their first ever UK number one single, and ‘Teenagers’ also became their most streamed song to date.
Although the band have not released any full collections of music since their 2010 album Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killijoys, they premiered a new song called ‘War Beneath the Rain’ during their gig at the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles in July.
Tickets for My Chemical Romance’s concerts at London’s Wembley Stadium go on sale on August 15th at 10am BST.
