Moby lashes out at Donald Trump’s “corrupt” and “evil” administration

Longtime critic of Donald Trump, Moby, has newly lashed out at the president’s current “corrupt, evil” administration in a determined message to his fans.

The electronic artist shared a video on social media that addressed the current state of the political climate in the US.

In the video, he began, “So a lot of my friends who live outside the United States keep asking me, ‘What the hell is going on in the United States?’ And the truth is, we don’t know.”

He added, looking exasperated, “The United States is being run by the most corrupt, evil, incompetent administration. And nobody knows what’s going on. It’s dark, dark times in the US.”

To be sure that his message was clear, Moby wrote in the caption, “The US is being run into the ground by a staggeringly incompetent and corrupt administration. Unbelievably dark, dark times.”

Earlier this year, Moby urged his fans to “stop supporting the scumbag corporations that support Donald Trump and ICE”.

He used his platform as a call to arms against the president: “The question is not whether we should be outraged and horrified at what’s happening in the United States, but rather what are we going to do about it,” he said at the time.

The pair are familiar with one another, having met in 2001. Moby even turned down the request to play at the president’s inauguration, saying that the only way he would agree to such a gig would be if Trump agreed, as payment, to release his tax returns.

Moby recently performed at Coachella, where he donated all profits from his fee to animal rights organisations. He will be performing his only London show as part of the Labryinth On The Thames series on August 15th, after a huge show on Brighton Beach on July 26th.

Moby’s latest studio album, Future Quiet, was released in February.
