Melania Trump wants ABC to “take a stand” against “hateful” Jimmy Kimmel: “Enough is enough”

First Lady Melania Trump has condemned Jimmy Kimmel, describing recent comments by the comedian as “hateful and violent” while also calling for ABC to “take a stand” against him.

Last Thursday (April 23rd), Kimmel delivered a roast of the president, as well as his wider administration, ahead of the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, which didn’t feature a comedian, as is tradition.

In his nine-minute rant, Kimmel told viewers of Donald Trump: “Our president is a delicate snowflake with the thinnest fat skin of any human being ever, and that means there’s going to be no comedian this year.”

He also turned his attention to the First Lady, who recently hit the headlines when her documentary, Melania, became the most expensive documentary ever made.

“Her documentary had a score of 10 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes, which is a website named after her husband’s testicles,” Kimmel joked at Melania’s expense. “By the way, before we go any further, Melania, this is Donald. Donald, this is Melania. That was my impression of Jeffrey Epstein.”

Notably, the White House Correspondents’ Dinner was cancelled after a gunman attempted to carry out an attack. 31-year-old Cole Tomas Allen has since been identified as the suspect and is due to appear in court today (April 27th).

Taking to X on April 27th, the First Lady hit out at Kimmel, blaming the late-night television host for the political divide in the US amid the growing threat of violent attacks.

Melania began, “Kimmel’s hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country. His monologue about my family isn’t comedy- his words are corrosive and deepens the political sickness within America. People like Kimmel shouldn’t have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate.”

She continued, “A coward, Kimmel hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him. Enough is enough. It is time for ABC to take a stand. How many times will ABC’s leadership enable Kimmel’s atrocious behavior at the expense of our community.”

This is not the first time that Kimmel has faced the wrath of the Trump family. The president previously celebrated the decision to remove him from the air after he joked about MAGA’s reaction to the death of Charlie Kirk, describing it as “Great News for America”.

Trump later aired his frustration when Kimmel was allowed back on television, writing on social media, “I can’t believe ABC Fake News gave Jimmy Kimmel his job back. The White House was told by ABC that his Show was cancelled! Something happened between then and now because his audience is GONE, and his ‘talent’ was never there.”

Jimmy Kimmel Live is set to air on ABC tonight on April 27th, providing the comedian with the platform to respond to Melania’s plea for his employers to remove him from the channel.
